I’m an Ancient Historian and a Travel Bug. Of *course* I would love Rome. More to the point, I study Roman history, and an amateur foodie, and an amateur photographer. Rome doesn’t need to be flowing with milk and honey – I’m happy with it is as it is (well, ok, I’d like the metro to be less stuffy, and for them not to charge entry to the forum, but I’ll survive). How does a body not love Rome? I’ve been robbed there, I’ve got bedbugs there, and I still keep going back. And every time I go, I seem to attempt to take a career’s supply of photos for potential powerpoint presentations! I also discover something new each time – last time, the Centrale Montemartini outpost of the Capitoline Museums.
