I grew up in Cornwall – for which I am incredibly grateful. It meant I got to run around the fields, explore the woods and jump in and out of the river all day in the summer holidays, or go to the beach after school and bodyboard once my parents had finished work. We kept swimming gear and surfboards in the boot of the cars, just in case. Ahhh, growing up sucks, doesn’t it?
Nowadays, though, I do get to understand just how lucky I was, and how amazing Cornwall is ifs you want to learn to take photographs – especially landscape photographs. So when I do (all too rarely) get to go home, I steal my mother’s car and go running around the place with my camera. My dogs think I’m the best person in the world, ‘cos I like to take them with me – especially when I go to the beach.
